Patient information.
Practical information about appointments, fees, prescriptions, results, accessibility and contacting Clinica Vitalis.
Planning your visit.
How do I choose the right appointment?
Choose the service that most closely matches your concern. If your symptoms are new, involve several areas or you are unsure where they belong, a Private GP consultation is usually the most suitable starting point. You can also contact the clinic for guidance.
Can I book directly?
Yes. A GP referral is not normally required. Appointments may be booked through our approved online booking systems or by contacting the clinic.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes. You may bring a relative, friend or supporter. With your agreement, they may usually join the consultation unless clinical, privacy or safety considerations make that inappropriate.
Can I request a chaperone?
Yes. Please contact us before your appointment where possible so appropriate arrangements can be made.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please give at least 48 hours’ notice unless different terms were provided for your particular service. With less notice, or if you do not attend, the clinic may retain a deposit or apply a reasonable charge in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.
What happens if I arrive late?
Your appointment may need to be shortened. If there is not enough time to proceed safely or complete an appropriate assessment, it may be treated as a late cancellation.
Know what you are paying for.
When will I know the final cost?
Consultation fees are shown when booking. Where the cost depends on assessment, treatment area, product quantity or complexity, we explain the proposed plan and material additional charges before proceeding wherever reasonably possible.
Why are some prices shown as “from”?
“From” is the lowest standard fee for that service. The final cost may vary according to the treatment area, amount of product, investigation requirements or clinical complexity.
Are prescriptions, medication and blood tests included?
Medication, dispensing, blood tests, imaging, pathology and histology are separate unless the service or package expressly says they are included. Any known charges will be discussed before proceeding where reasonably possible.
Does paying for a consultation guarantee treatment or a prescription?
No. The consultation fee covers professional time, assessment and clinical judgement. A clinician may recommend further investigation, referral, postponement, another treatment or no treatment where clinically appropriate.
Do you offer treatment courses?
Yes, where a course is clinically suitable. Included treatments, the total fee and applicable conditions are explained before purchase. Unless a different period is stated, courses should normally be used within 12 months, subject to clinical suitability.
Assessment comes first.
Will I always be offered treatment?
No. We may recommend delaying treatment, choosing another option, arranging investigations or seeking care elsewhere if that is safer or more appropriate.
Do laser and IPL treatments require patch testing?
Patch testing, photography, skin preparation or a waiting period may be required. Treatment will not proceed until all required safety steps have been completed.
How will I receive test results?
The clinician will explain how results will be communicated and whether a review appointment is needed. Laboratory turnaround times are estimates and can be affected by transport, sample quality or specialist processing.
Can the clinic prescribe medication?
Medication may be prescribed when an appropriately authorised prescriber considers it clinically suitable. Monitoring, blood tests or review may be required for safe prescribing. Medication and pharmacy charges are normally separate.
What should I do if I have a problem after treatment?
Contact the clinic promptly using the aftercare details provided. If you require urgent or emergency assessment, use NHS urgent or emergency services rather than waiting for a clinic response.
Tell us what would help.
Is the clinic fully accessible?
Clinica Vitalis is within a refurbished historic building and some aspects of full physical accessibility are limited. The toilet is not currently fitted with accessibility support rails. Please contact us before attending to discuss mobility, sensory, communication or other support needs. Read our Accessibility information.
What additional support may be available?
Support may include an induction loop, accessible or enlarged printed material, multilingual written information where feasible and additional appointment support arrangements. Where we cannot safely meet a requirement, we will aim to signpost an appropriate alternative.
Which languages are available?
Our team can support patients in English, Arabic, Polish and Swahili. Availability depends on the team members working, so please tell us your preferred language when booking.
How does the clinic protect my information?
We keep appropriate clinical records and process health information in accordance with data-protection law. Please read the Privacy Notice for details about how information is used, shared, retained and protected.
Clinica Vitalis is not an emergency service.
For a life-threatening emergency, call 999 or attend an emergency department. For urgent NHS advice, contact NHS 111. Do not delay urgent care while waiting for a response from the clinic.
